Hear Glasgow! Legacy
Since it’s inception, Hear Glasgow! Has gone through a process of change, learning, flexibility and consultation; trying to understand the complex labyrinth that is Glasgow’s music culture.
We have been creating links with the many agencies, further and higher education establishments, venues, bands, teachers and freelance music practitioners.
We have also recognised real need to engage young people who want to be involved in music making, be it as a performer or as someone who wants to make a career out of the more ‘nuts and bolts’ aspect of the industry; working in sound, venue/event management.
Hear Glasgow! has had the pleasure of working with a wide range of partner organizations and individuals and indeed, strives to incorporate this partnership working. Glasgow UNESCO City of Music and Glasgow Life have been constant supporters of the work that Hear Glasgow! encourages the bringing together of freelance music tutors and practitioners in order for them to tell HEAR Glasgow! about their training needs.
